Hello,<br />
I have a doubt......i want my windows partitions not to automount at<br />
start up(i have created entry in fstab).i have used the 'noauto'<br />
option as well....but it still auto mounts....whats the reason for<br />
that.....what shud i do?????<br />

the fstab entry is shown below......<br />
<br />
/dev/hda7      /media/hda7      vfat        rw,users,noauto,sync,umask=000<br />
     0 0<br />

corrupted<br />

u should have tried with other DVD<br />

thanks for your help. the links  is helpful ..i have searched the same on google but was not able to find this links.<br />
thank you so much,. i have done some manual partitions before, just for my<br />
local PC but i asked because i have never done on a big HDD like this one.<br />
i want to make clear that whether any ratio is to be maintained  before<br />
making partitions. can you suggest me a size for /var and /home..?<br />
